Modern Robin Hood - WIPIt always rained during funerals in the movies. Instead today the sky was pure blue, with a sun so bright it hurt Robin Locksley's eyes. He turned his gaze back to the mahogany casket, nailed closed over the remains of his father, ready to be put into the ground. He put his hand on his younger brother's shoulder, getting as much support as he was trying to give the sixteen-year-old. Nick wiped tears from his cheeks with the heel of his palm and looked up at his older brother. He had always been the more expressive of the two of them.

Kit Gingko, Pokemon ResearcherIf I had to go back, I would say that it all started when I was five. I remember sitting on the bottom of the stairs, shivering wildly, even though it wasn't cold. The kitchen door let out a yellow light that spread out through the hallway. Inside it, they were angry. I felt myself drowning in their argument. It started out with words, and then the words got louder. And then the hitting. Why did it always have to end in hitting?

It has been a really good week for me.

Monday and Tuesday- No class!

Wednesday- One of my friends now has the entire series Samurai Jack.

Karate Yellow Belt Review - Went much better than I had expected, felt much more confident. Was still on the fence to take the test, though.

Bought Piano Squall's album - amazing pianist who plays songs from anime and video games on the piano, and the majority of the money he makes from albums and concerts goes to charity. My favorite is either the tetris theme, or "Creul Angel's Thesis"
Finished Kit's backstory, huzzah!

Thursday- Stolen away by sister and saw Zombieland! And then got to share some of my favorite Zombies vs. Humans stories.

Friday- Neuropsych test went surprisingly well, considering how little I studied for it. One class was cut short.

Decided to follow Bob Dylan's advice: "Don't think twice, it's all right" and took the yellow belt test. And got it!! There were tears in my eyes when Sensei announced that we all got our belts. I had been so worried that I would be the only one to get it.

I am so proud of myself right now, as I probably should be. Even if I injured one of my toes during the test.

In fact, this week has been so good, I'll even forgive it for snowing. And only 15 days left til Nanowrimo! Dun dun dun!
